Going to San Diego? I'm not... But Phenomenal Pat Loika will be there! And he's also here! In not one, but TWO segments. First, he offers up this week's new releases and later, he returns to give us the rundown on what Marvel has planned for the convention this week! In between we hear from evaD (Bring 'em Back), Steve Raker (from his Comics Bunker), and Chris "Equinox" Chavez and Mike Sims both sharing some thoughts on recent reads. And our host pops up once or twice. Comics mentioned include Immortal Iron Fist, Daredevil, Uncanny X-Men, X-Men: Legacy, She-Hulk, Wolverine: First Class, X-Factor, and Universal War One. What is the ComicBookRealm.com Podcast Network?
The first answer is that we are not producing our own shows (at this point).
Podcasts are great. They allow you to get information while on the move doing other things.
We feel that there is a problem with how the current system works.
You have to either manually load a new feed, or manually change to a new show from another feed.
Well back in the day we all had mix tapes - so why can't we have mix playlists for podcasts?
Thus the ComicBookRealm.com Podcast Network is born.
You can choose which episodes from various feeds you want to listen to, and then change it at any time.
Why does this episode sound like the chipmunks?
Adobe Flash has a problem playing files that are encoded at a rate that is not a multiple of 11.025 kHz. This effect is sometimes called the "chipmunk" effect - the file is played at double speed. To avoid this, encode MP3's at 11.025 kHz 22.050 kHz or 44.100 kHz.
For more information read the following document about encoding mp3s for Flash players - http://www.draftlight.net/
Why does my custom feed only have 10 episodes on it?
We want users to keep their feed up to date.
You can add as many episodes to your playlist as you want, but when the playlist is generated it will only pull the newest 10.
Once you have listened to an episode we encourage you to come back and rate that show which will then remove it and your playlist will be regenerated.
How often do you check for new episodes?
Our podcast feed parser runs every night so all shows will be added at that time.
